February Mississippi Tornado Claims Two More Victims

COLUMBUS, MS (Ben Caxton) — A tornado that struck Mississippi in February claimed two more victims on Friday. Columbus Police Chief Fred Shelton said two people were hospitalized after a storm damaged house they were working on collapsed on top of them. Rep[orts say they were using a hammer and crowbar when they accidentally removed a load-bearing wall. That’s when the structure leaned and fell. The victim’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening according to authorities. The house was damaged by a tornado that struck Columbus on February 23rd.
