Fatal fire investigated as arson

Chicot Memorial

Investigators working on the Elizabeth Street fire that killed a Greenville woman in April believe it was deliberately set. They are looking for 36-year-old Telly Lockridge in connection with the case. The victim, 54-year-old Linda Day, did not make it out of her house in time and was found dead from smoke inhalation. It was the second fatal fire in Greenville in 2013. The first victim was 4-year-old Mirijah Mitchell, who died in a house fire on Ridge Ave in February.
