Family Feud Contestants Win Jail Time in Sidon

SIDON, MS (Ben Caxton) — A family feud in Sidon that escalated into shots being fired has resulted in two more arrests. 24-year-old Denarius Crigler has been charged with aggravated assault and 34-year-old Charles Cross Jr. with accessory before and after the fact of aggravated assault. The charges stem from a Sunday fist-fight between the two men. Sheriff Ricky Banks told media that after the initial fight when Cross returned to his car, Crigler hit him again. At that point, Cross’ 17-year-old son, Kaderick Hunt, pulled a gun and shot at Crigler in what he said was an attempt to protect his father. Crigler was not hit. The younger Hunt was charged, as an adult, with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
