Espy Office Postpones Student Vote

CLARKSDALE, MS (Ben Caxton) — Students at Clarksdale High were scheduled to vote today for a member of the Clarksdale Municipal School Board, however, yesterday Mayor Chuck Espy’s office announced that the election has been postponed. 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students will select from four candidates during the week of March 16th, with the winner filling the mayor’s at-large appointment to the school board for a five-year term.
