DSU Alumni Association Event In Greenville Tuesday

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — The Delta State University National Alumni Association is traveling to Greenville for the Greater Washington County Area Alumni Event Tuesday. The event will be held at the Delta’s first and only tap room, Mighty Miss Brewing Company, in downtown Greenville starting at 6:00 PM. Speakers “on tap” include Delta State President William N. LaForge and DSU’s National Alumni Director Jeffrey Farris. Additional staff, faculty, and special guests from campus will also be in attendance. Entertainment will be provided by Delta Music Institute students’ independent band, BKZ. Parker Lipscomb, Washington County Alumni Chapter volunteer, said they’re excited to be able to get together with fellow Statesmen and friends of the University. He says the local alumni committee is grateful to local businesses, friends, and alumni who have made the event possible. Adding it will be a fun way to reconnect with friends while awarding some Washington County students with scholarships to Delta State. Guests can participate in brewery tours while enjoying appetizers from the Cajun Shotgun House and sampling the craft beers. A silent auction will be held as well with all proceeds benefitting the Washington County Area Scholarship Fund.
