Domestic Dispute Sparks 3rd Greenville Homicide In 10 Days

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — A domestic dispute has led to Greenville’s third homicide in ten days. Police were called to the 900 block of South Delesseps street around 9:30 PM Saturday night where they found 52-year-old Charlie Stevenson, Jr. in a back room of the residence with several stab wounds to the chest. He was taken to Delta Regional Medical Center where he died of his injuries. A short time later, the suspect, 54-year-old Parthenia Hamilton turned herself in to Greenville police where she is being held at this time awaiting a bond hearing. Investigators believe the stabbing occurred during an argument over property.
