Date set for Google decision

Chicot Memorial

A federal judge has set February 24th as the date he’ll decide on Google’s case against Mississippi Attorney Jim Hood. The internet giant seeks to stop Hood from conducting an investigation into whether Google actively helps people commit crimes. Hood says he shouldn’t be prevented from conducting an investigation, when it’s not yet known what the investigation may find. Following a hearing with both parties in Jackson on Friday, U.S. District Judge Henry Wingate said he will release his ruling on February 24th.
