CVS, Walmart, & Family Dollar Recall Infant Ibuprofen

THE DELTA (Ben Caxton) — Infant ibuprofen sold at Walmart and Family Dollar stores is being recalled due to potentially higher concentrations of ibuprofen. The recalled items were sold under brand names including Equate Infants Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension and Family Wellness Infants Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension. Manufacturer Tris Pharma says infants who are given the recalled medication face a slight risk of developing permanent renal or kidney injuries. Other side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, tinnitus, headaches, and other gastrointestinal problems.
