Congress to Take Up New Interstate in Mississippi

WASHINGTON, DC (Ben Caxton) — A new interstate is under construction in Texas and Congress will consider extending the route through Louisiana and Mississippi by the end of this year. I-14 would follow U.S. Highway 84 from Natchez to Brookhaven and then connect to Interstate 59…but the Mississippi Department of Transportation says hundreds of people in southern Mississippi may lose their land or homes.

  1. They can’t even finish the 82 By- pass

  2. That would relieve some of the I40 traffic. But I69 needs to be complicated first!

  3. They need to fix the roads we already have before starting new projects.
