Coast Casinos Report Record Take in April

BILOXI, MS (Ben Caxton) — Mississippi’s 12 Gulf Coast Casinos reported record revenue in April raking in $108.6 million. That’s nearly one-and-a-half million dollars more than the previous record set in April of 2007 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and 9% higher than one year ago. Meanwhile, gross gambling receipts continued to decline at casinos along the Mississippi River. The River casinos combined for a 1% drop in income from the previous month.
