Coahoma County Bracing for More Budget Cuts

COAHOMA COUNTY, MS (Ben Caxton) — Halfway through the budget year Coahoma County’s supervisors are preparing for spending cuts. Board president Paul Pearson says that for some time the county has budgeted 5 percent less every year and one of the biggest declines has been in casino gaming revenue, which has dropped by about a million dollar in the last ten years.
