Chicot Memorial

COAHOMA COUNTY, MS (Ben Caxton) — Earlier this month Coahoma Community College named its offsite health and science facility in honor of the first female trustee for the college. The $1.3 million dollar Rena Butler Health and Sciences Annex, at 917 Ohio Street, will house paramedic and polysomnography programs along with an assimilation lab. Butler worked in the Coahoma County School District for over 40 years. She is a past national director of the Mississippi National Education Association and vice-president and secretary-treasurer of the Mississippi Association of Educators.
