Cleveland Hosting Storm Spotter Classes Again On Monday

CLEVELAND, MS (Ben Caxton) — The Bolivar County Emergency Management Agency is again holding a storm spotter class. The training class begins at 6:00 PM Monday at the Bolivar EMA Office located at 114 South Street in Cleveland. The two-hour class teaches people how to spot potentially severe weather, and how and when to report what they see. The class is designed for volunteer members of EMA who are sent out when severe weather is possible to be the eyes and ears of meteorologists working at National Weather Serice offices across the region. But members of the public are welcome to attend and learn as well. Light refreshments will be provided. No registration is required, but seating is limited.
