Cleveland Cops Looking For Donations To Help Children

CLEVELAND, MS (Ben Caxton) — Cleveland Police Chief Buster Bingham is looking for money to help needy children this Christmas. The Department’s annual “Shop with a Cop” program selects about 30 children between the ages of three and twelve who are taken shopping with local law enforcement personnel in mid-December. Bingham says the program is short of money this year. They need about $100 per child and are asking the community’s help to donate so the tradition of providing a happy holiday to youngsters who otherwise would be left out on Christmas Day can continue. To help, contact the police department at 843-3611 or drop off a donation at the station at 301 South Sharpe Ave.
