Clarksdale Utilities To Interview Manager Candidate

CLARKSDALE, MS (Ben Caxton) — Customer use of the Clarksdale Public Utilities website and outdoor kiosk continues to grow. At yesterday’s meeting of the CPU board, financial officer Steve Reed reported that last month bills totaling over $300,000 were paid at, and 177 customers used the outdoor drive-up kiosk, adding another $40,000 to that total. In his report to the board, general manager Mark Johnson said that the search for an operations manager to replace Bobby O’Bannon is down to one finalist, a graduate of Auburn’s engineering program. He added the candidate is currently working on the Gulf coast and will be in town for an interview on Friday.
