Clarksdale Police Investigating Six Weekend Felonies

CLARKSDALE, MS (Ben Caxton) — Between Thursday and Sunday Clarksdale police opened six felony investigations. Cash and credit cards were reported taken in auto burglaries in the 1000 and 400 blocks of State Street and computers, a stereo system, 2 televisions, and a DVD player were stolen from homes in the 100 block of West Second and 1700 block of Chestnut Street. A stabbing victim received non-life threatening injuries in an aggravated assault in the 1300 block of West Second Street, and shots were fired in the 100 block of Catalpa Street but no one was hit.
