Clarksdale Murder Likely Drug Related

CLARKSDALE, MS (Paul Wilson WROX Radio) — Clarksdale police believe this week’s shooting that left a man dead is drug-related. 31-year-old Kevin Robinson was shot Monday night at a house in the 100 block of Ninth Street that law enforcement calls a “known drug house”. A search of the home in August resulted in several arrests for drug sales and possession and confiscation of weapons and drugs. One person has been detained in Robinson’s death, the city’s 12th homicide of 2018. A November 17th gunfight in the parking lot of Bee Cee’s Place on North Desoto left one man dead and three others wounded, but police have not officially ruled that case a homicide. Over 100 shell casings were recovered and the investigation continues.
