City receives walking trail funds

Greenville City Officials have accepted a check for 800-thousand dollars from the Mississippi Department of Transportation for a walking trail project. The one point seven mile trail will offer room for walking and biking atop the levee. It will stretch from North of the Greenville Yacht Club to Old Theobald Street. The City will cover the rest of the one-million dollar cost not paid for by the state. There are also plans for a playground and an amphitheatre.
