"Chicken Tender Fender Bender" Spawns Alerts

CHEROKEE COUNTY, AL (Ben Caxton) — An overturned truck full of chicken tenders led to some unusual public alert notices from an Alabama County sheriff’s office. So many people were stopping along Highway 35 in Cherokee County where the accident occurred to get out of their cars and search for box of the frozen tenders spilled on the ground that an alert was issued warning drivers not to stop and block traffic or face being arrested. Social media response to the warning went viral. One poster wrote that he’d seen a man selling chicken tenders with tire tracks on them alongside a Florida highway. While another joked that with his luck if he stopped to pick up tenders he’d end up getting hit by a honey-mustard truck.
