Charges Filed in July Greenwood Drive-By Shooting

GREENWOOD, MS (Ben Caxton) — A second man has been charged in connection with a July 28th drive-by shooting in Greenwood. 19-year-old Kadeaderick Hunt is in jail after being arrested Thursday and charged with eight counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling. Hunt, who was on bond for three other unrelated felony charges, was denied bond. 18-year-old Jakevian McCaster who was arrested the day after the incident posted $40,000 bond and is free awaiting trial. The two men are accused of shooting into a house on Elm Street in Greenwood with eight people inside, three adults and five toddlers between the ages of one and three years old. No one was injured in the shooting.
