Charges Dismissed in Wednesday Fatal Greenville Stabbing

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — A woman who was stabbed early Wednesday morning has died. But the accused suspect, a 16-year-old girl has been cleared of charges. 29-year-old Shireda Phillips was one of several women who got into a fight with the teenager. Phillips was stabbed during the fight which occurred around 2:15 AM on Peach Street in Greenville and later died. The 16-year-old was arrested and charged with manslaughter. However later the same day the judge in the case dismissed the charges against the young girl.
