Celebrities In Greenville For 6th Annual Delta Soul Charity Golf

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — Celebrities are invading Greenville starting tomorrow. Thursday is the start of the Delta Soul Celebrity Golf and Charity Event at the Greenville Golf and Country Club. Last year saw participants from over twenty states represented and over $100,000 raised for charity. This year’s celebrity visitors include Super Bowl-winning quarterback, Jim McMahon, NHL Five-Time Stanley Cup winner Grant Fuhr, Actor Richard Burgi of General Hospital, Dez Dickerson, original guitarist with Prince and the Revolution, and Mr. October, Major League Baseball great Reggie Smith. The Schedule of Events includes a private celebrity dinner at the world-famous Doe’s Eat Place to kick-off the event in style on Thursday followed by a party at the Walnut Street Blues Bar. The Celebrity Cup kicks off on Friday, followed by the Big Night Dinner and Live Auction Party. Over $600,000 has been given to support the arts, children, and education in the Delta since the Foundation’s inception in 2006.
