UPDATE: Police Holding Suspects in Indianola Shootings

INDIANOLA, MS (Ben Caxton) — Delta Daily News has received notice of a shootout that has occurred in Indianola.  Initial reports indicate three people have been wounded. This is a developing story. We have a crew working on obtaining details. Stay with Delta Radio for updates. UPDATE: As of the moment no arrests have been made and police are still investigating. Here’s what we know. At approximately 2:30 AM this morning Indianola Police responded to the 400 block of Walker street in Indianola in reference to shots being fired. At the scene officer’s discovered that shots had been fired into the residence from outside striking three male subjects. The men hit by the gunfire were not there when police arrived.  Sometime later Delta Regional Medical Center notified the Greenville police that they were treating a gunshot victim and they notified the Indianola Police. A second gunshot victim was being treated at SSCH in Indianola. The third also left the scene before police arrive. No arrests have been made at this time. However, Indianola Police say they are holding two “persons of interest” pending the ongoing investigation.
