BREAKING: Greenville Attempted Robbery

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — Greenville Police are reporting an attempted robbery that occurred a few hours ago. Officers were dispatched to 567 Cypress at 1:36 PM this afternoon. Upon arrival they spoke to the victims, a 21-year-old white male, and a 23-year-old white female who told police they had been robbed. They said when they arrived home the man was sitting in his vehicle when he was approached by two black males who demanded money and then asked to go inside the residence. Once inside the the suspects demanded more money and attempted to sexually assault the female victim but did not complete the act. They left, attempting to steal the victim’s truck, but the truck would not start, The male victim advised police that he did at one point exchange gunfire with the suspects. No injuries were reported. Two cellphones were reported stolen. Police say the incident is under investigation.

I know since the cops didn’t see the 2 suspects you must go with “they told the police they were robbed” and not ‘they were robbed’ but lets get real for a minute. “they demanded money and then ASKED to go inside”. Stop down playing this viscous act! Your article was only 9 sentences long, and within those few short lines the only thing you did was give us incorrect information and belittle the situation.
