Bodies "Everywhere" After Lauderdale County ATV Crash

BAILEY, MS (Ben Caxton) — “Bodies were Everywhere” after an ATV crash in Lauderdale County sent 8 people to the hospital. That according to Bailey, Mississippi Fire Chief Stanley Lucky. Authorities say 30-year-old Joseph Covington Bass of Meridian was driving the ATV Saturday night with eight passengers on board when he lost control and ended up in a ditch. All eight had to be hospitalized, including three flown by helicopter to Jackson for treatment. Bass fled the scene before sheriff’s deputies arrived and was not tested for alcohol. He was arrested hours later on felony charges in connection with the wreck and is currently free on $10,000 bond.
