Bill Aims To Extend Tourism Tax In Greenwood

GREENWOOD, MS (Angie Quezada) — State Senator David Jordan will be presenting a bill this week in the Legislature to extend the life of the Greenwood Tourism Commission and the tax that supports the Greenwood Convention and Visitors Bureau through September 20, 2020. The tourism commission presented a resolution last week to the City Council requesting that the tax be extended for another three-year term.
