Bb King Museum Is Usa Today’s Readers’ Choice

INDIANOLA, MS (Ben Caxton) — Looking for the best attraction in Mississippi? Ask a USA Today Reader and you won’t have to look any farther than Indianola. The B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center in that town came out on top in this year’s USA Today Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Attraction in Mississippi. The B.B. King and Delta Interpretive Center tells the inspiring story of how young Riley B. King, born to sharecropper parents in the Mississippi Delta, became a beloved worldwide figure known both as simply “B.B.” and the “King of the Blues.” He influenced countless other musicians such as Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert King and Jimi Hendrix with his guitar skills, and those skills earned him 30 GRAMMY nominations and 15 wins. According to King’s wishes, after his death in 2015, he was buried on the grounds of the museum where fans can pay their respects.
