Attack By 15-Year-Old Robber Sends Man To Hospital

GREENVILLE, MS (Ben Caxton) — A Greenville man is fighting for his life at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson after being attacked outside his home. Greenville Police received a call yesterday evening of a man being held down by someone armed with a gun in the 1900 block of Michigan Street. At the scene, they were told by the 29-year-old victim, who has not been named, that he answered a knock at the door at his residence, and once outside, was attacked with a pistol in an apparent robbery attempt. The attack caused serious head injuries and the victim was transported first to Delta Regional medical Center, and then later by air ambulance to Jackson. Police arrested 15-year-old Timothy Taylor as a suspect at the scene. He was initially charged with Aggravated Assault, and Attempted Armed Robbery as a juvenile, but is now charged as an adult in the case. No bond for Taylor has yet been set.
