Arrest Made in Hamburg Christmas Morning Murder

HAMBURG, AR (Ben Caxton) — An arrest has been made in the Christmas murder of 33-year-old Todd Martin of Crossett. Police say 25-year-old Damien Davis of Hamburg was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the case. He is also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm as the investigation continues. Other arrests are possible. Martin was shot after he got in his car and was leaving after visiting relatives on Chicago Street in Hamburg Christmas morning. After being hit, his car continued across the street and hit the home he had been visiting, at which point relatives called police. Hamburg Police arriving on the scene found Martin dead inside his car, suffering from a single gunshot wound. Davis is being held in the Ashley County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
