Arkansas Drug Task Force Makes Multiple Arrests

LAKE VILLAGE, AR (Ben Caxton) — A drug sweep by law enforcement officials through southeast Arkansas has led to multiple arrests over the past few weeks. Lt. Jason Akers says the “10th Drug Task Force” said they executed numerous search warrants, confiscating methamphetamine, which led to the arrests. In one bust agents arrested 50-year-old Hubert Williamson of Eudora after agents searched his residence and located ice methamphetamine, Oxycontin tablets, hydrocodone tablets, marijuana and digital scales, all packaged for sale. Agents also seized over $2,300.00 in suspected drug proceeds. 35-year-old Lake Village resident Rodney Moore was arrested after agents claimed he sold a “significant” amount of methamphetamine and was arrested in possession of the money used by Agents to purchase the narcotics. Moore was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. A Louisiana resident, 65-year-old Lloyd Allen was taken into custody after he opened his door and reached for a loaded firearm during a traffic stop. A search of his vehicle revealed 3 grams of ice methamphetamine. Allen was charged with possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver and simultaneously possessing drugs and a firearm.
