Arkansas Child Drowns in Hole

(Lonoke County, AR) — Officials are investigating the death of an Arkansas child. According to the Lonoke County Sheriff’’s Office, a 6-year-old was pulled from a large hole filled with water March 2nd and died two days later. It happened in the 300 block of Panola Road. Deputies were called to the scene and arrived to find the child’’s family and neighbors performing CPR on the victim. The deputies took over giving CPR until the paramedics arrived. The child was taken to the Arkansas Children’’s Hospital. The Lonoke County Sheriff’’s Office, the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children and the Department of Children and Family Services are investigating the incident.
