Arkansas Announces Local Highway Repair Projects

CHICOT COUNTY (Ben Caxton) — Arkansas is moving forward with a number of local highway projects across the Arkansas Delta. Bids have been approved by the Arkansas State Highway Commission for improvements to roadways in Cleveland Drew, Chicot, and Desha Counties. 5.7 Miles of U.S. Highway 65 will be resurfaced from just South of the Drew County Line to State Highway 35 in Chicot and Drew Counties. Desha County will see work on two projects. The first will see resurfacing of 1.2 miles of State Highway 54 between U.S. Highway 165 and Cherry Street in Dumas. The second will make repairs to a 1/2 mile, and 1-mile section of County Road 10.
