Another Hopeful Files for Coahoma County Sheriff

COAHOMA COUNTY, MS (Ben Caxton) — A second Democratic challenger has filed to run against Coahoma County sheriff Charles Jones in this year’s election. Coahoma resident Mario Magsby has 21 years of law enforcement experience, 19 of those in the county sheriff’s office as a patrolman, investigator, special operations supervisor, and chief patrol deputy. Clarksdale police Corporal Stacy Lester had previously filed as a Democrat to run against Jones, who is seeking his fourth term as county sheriff.
