LELAND, MS (Ben Caxton) — Leland Police have arrested a second suspect in the February 4th shooting death of Alonzo Dukes. Cordero Hill of Greenville has been charged by authorities with one count of Capital Murder in the case. Dukes, 53, was shot to death on the evening of February 4th at a residence at 113 West Third St. in Leland. Accused Greenville triple-murderer Leonard Stevenson Jr. who is being held on a $1M bond in the stabbing deaths of two Greenville men two days later on February 6th, has also been charged in the Dukes case. It appears that conversations between Stephenson and police may have led to the new charges against Hill.
