An Indianola Police Officer has been fired

Chicot Memorial

The Indianola City Council has voted to terminate Scott Hagerman from the Police Department after hearing about his response to a traffic accident. Witnesses alleged that Hagerman tried to choke a young man who was checking on his grandmother, who was involved in the car wreck. They also claimed that the officer also pushed the woman on to a car. Police Chief Richard O’Bannon requested the special meeting of the City Council, which moved quickly to fire Hagerman. He had been with the department for two years.
