An “Ecstatic” Stop Leads To Two Arrests

YAZOO CITY, MS (Ben Caxton) — Two Louisiana men were arrested in Yazoo City after 3,731 Ecstasy pills were discovered in their car by police during a routine traffic stop. Baton Rouge residents Stanley Lias and Kentrell Augustus were charged by Yazoo City Police with felony possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute. Along with the Ecstasy pills, a handgun was also recovered from the vehicle which is expected to result in additional charges as Lias is a felon wanted on a Lousiana warrant for aggravated assault with a firearm, authorities said. Lias and Kentrell are awaiting an initial appearance in Yazoo City Municipal Court. Lias is also being held pending extradition.
