Amnesty program underway in Metcalfe

Metcalfe officials are hoping more people will take advantage of an amnesty offer this month to pay off their unpaid fines without any additional fees. The town is hoping to clear up more than 100-thousand dollars in unpaid fines through the amnesty program, which expires on October 31st. Warrants will be issued starting November 1st for people who haven’t paid, and licenses will start to get suspended for fines that are at least three years old.
