All Mississippi Business Can Reopen Monday

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — On Monday all Mississippi businesses will be able to reopen under a new ‘Safe Return’ order from Governor Tate Reeves. Updated social distancing guidelines take effect June 1st at 8 AM and continue to June 15th; schools will be able to reopen for summer programs and special education evaluations, healthcare facilities will be able to perform elective surgeries and limits on indoor & outdoor gatherings have been expanded. Governor Reeves has also issued a separate executive order to begin safely reopening ballparks, movie theaters, libraries, and museums on June 1st. These places must also implement protocols to limit the spread of COVID-19.

  2. Thank goodness he’s in a hurry. We must open now. We’ve about destroyed our country over a virus that is extremely survivable.
