Supporters have begun the process of adding the Washington County Courthouse to the National Register of Historic Places. A draft nomination has been submitted to the Department of Archives and History. If it is approved, the nomination will be passed on to the National Parks Service, which will take a final vote on whether the Washington County Courthouse belongs on the National Register.
