Accused Sexual Harasser Rehired by Tunica Sheriff

TUNICA COUNTY, MS (Ben Caxton) — A Tunica County Sheriff’s commander who was fired three years ago amid a sexual harassment allegation is back on the force. Eugene Bridges was accused of coercing a deputy into having sex in a patrol car, the sheriff’s department and his house while on duty and threatened to put her job in jeopardy if she did not comply. No criminal charges were filed against Bridges and the female deputy who filed the complaint against him is no longer with the force. Bridges was rehired as a commander last week.
