Accused Persimmon Street Shooter Behind Bars

CLEVELAND, MS (Ben Caxton) — The man wanted in connection with a Greenville triple shooting is behind bars today. 24-year-old Hakeem Wilson was captured on Friday in Cleveland by the Mississippi Department of Corrections. He is being held in the Washington County Correctional Facility outside of Greenville awaiting a bond hearing. Wilson is accused of being the shooter in a July 5th shooting on Persimmon Street in Greenville that left 48-year-old Samuel Hudson dead, another man in critical condition, and a woman hospitalized with gunshot wounds as well. Wilson is charged with murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a felon.
