A Las Vegas plastic surgeon is making good on a promise to help a 3-year-old Jackson girl mauled by pit bulls

Dr. Frank Stile flew to Mississippi to evaluate Victoria Wilcher for surgery to reconstruct her face. The 3-year-old was badly mauled by her grandfather’s pit bulls in April and lost her right eye, and suffered a broken jaw, nose and cheekbone. Her story got national attention on social media after allegations surfaced that she had been asked to leave a KFC restaurant because her facial scars were disturbing other customers. Dr. Stile said the KFC incident was just one example of the discrimination that awaits Victoria if she doesn’t get help. He set up a foundation which will cover the cost of her surgeries, which may take place in stages over many years.
