A former transportation director for the Shaw School District has been arrested for embezzlement

Willie Alexander allegedly used the district’s fuel card to buy gas, groceries, beer and cigarettes for himself. The State Auditor’s Office has issued Alexander a formal demand for repayment of $4,142.82. Alexander was fired from his position with the Shaw School District in 2013. No public official is above the law, according to the state’s AG Jim Hood.
