A DeSoto County teacher and football coach was among 15 people arrested by Southaven police in an undercover prostitution sting on Friday

44-year-old Mark Alan Hogan was charged with solicitation of prostitution during the sting at an area hotel. Hogan is an assistant football coach and science teacher at Center Hill High School in Olive Branch. The district has placed Hogan on administrative leave while an internal investigation is underway. 44-year-old David B. Middleton of Clarksdale was also arrested and charged with solicitation in the sting operation. Middleton is a real estate appraiser; he told the Press-Register that he was simply outside the hotel when he was approached by one of the prostitutes who offered her services. He asked how much and was arrested. Middleton is scheduled for arraignment in Southaven today but maintains he is not guilty.
