$30M in Lottery Money Going for Highway Pavement Projects

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — The Mississippi Transportation Commission has designated the first $30 million of lottery proceeds for pavement restoration projects. The Alyce Clark Mississippi Lottery Law was passed in the August 2018 special session, and the first $80 million of lottery proceeds were earmarked for state roads and bridges. The first deposit from the lottery commission is expected this week, and the transportation commission will determine how to designate the next $50 million as lottery proceeds continue to roll
