3-year-old Shot in Face with Flare Gun

HELENA-WEST HELENA, AR (Ben Caxton) — A Helena-West Helena toddler is recovering after being accidentally shot in the face with a flare gun on Sunday. The gun was on a table when the 3-year-old grabbed it; a teenage relative tried to get it back when the gun went off. The child was taken to a Memphis hospital; Helena-West Helena police chief James Smith says his office is still investigating and are not ruling out possible charges.
