3 Believed Dead As SUV Crashes into Mississippi River

TUNICA, MS (Ben Caxton) — A woman and two children are believed dead after their SUV crashed into the Mississippi River on Sunday morning. 29-year-old Symphony Wilson dropped off some friends to work at Fitzgerald’s Casino around 10:00 AM Sunday before losing control of her Suburban. A casino employee jumped into the river to try to rescue them but a strong current carried the SUV too far into the river. Divers from an Arkansas state police dive team say the vehicle is about 100 yards offshore and 30 feet underwater but say debris has prevented them from reaching it. They believe the bodies of Wilson, a 5-year-old girl, and 2-year-old boy are still in the car. The children’s mother is a cousin of Wilson and Authorities don’t believe the crash was intentional.
