3.7M Tremor Strikes the Delta

HOLLANDALE, MS (Ben Caxton) — A minor earthquake struck the Delta Tuesday afternoon. The earthquake, originally thought to be a 3.9 magnitude, but later adjusted downward to a 3.7, struck at 4:26:33 PM CST at a depth of 10 miles, 15 miles south-southeast of Greenville, or about 5 miles northwest of Hollandale. people writing on the USGS page said the shaking only last a couple seconds but was felt over a fairly wide area, and was strong enough to cause beds to move and rattle windows.
