2017 Burgers At 1987 Prices In Cleveland

CLEVELAND, MS (Ben Caxton) — It’s not only National Burger month, but a local institution is celebrating an anniversary. Cleveland’s Back Yard Burgers is thirty years old, and to celebrate they’re taking their customers back to 1987. To mark the occasion, the restaurant is throwing back the price on its Classic Burger to $1.87 this Friday. That was the original price when the better burger restaurant opened in 1987. They’ve teamed up with Share Our Strength, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger, and guests who donate any amount to SOS’s No Kid Hungry campaign can purchase the burger at that price. In addition, customers who donate $5 to SOS throughout the month of May will receive a coupon book with free or discounted Back Yard Burger favorites. Their goal is to raise $50,000 for the cause.
