2.25 Million Masks Distributed Across Mississippi

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency says they have distributed 2.25 million masks across the state in the last 60 days and over a half million were made in Mississippi. MEMA Executive Director Greg Michel says their efforts to distribute personal protective equipment won’t stop until the pandemic does adding Mississippi needs to be prepared for another coronavirus wave. Pandemics historically have more than one wave and the 1918 influenza pandemic consisted of three waves. The second wave was the most fatal.
